2016 Grant Recipient

The Asian Women Giving Circle (AWGC) is a philanthropic organization founded in 2005 and led by Asian women. It is a donor advised fund of the Ms. Foundation for Women.  


The giving circle consists of Asian women in New York who put monetary resources together in order to invest in various projects. They give support to artistic and cultural projects led by women in New York City which are designed to enact social transformation, raise awareness of critical issues pertaining to Asian American females and to promote women's roles as creators, leaders and managers.


2016 Grant Recipient

The Ms. Foundation for Women is a non-profit organization for women in the United States. It is one of the first and largest women's funds in the United States and has always had a deep commitment to diversity.


The Ms. Foundation was founded in 1972 by Gloria Steinem, Patricia Carbine, Letty Cottin Pogrebin and Marlo Thomas. The Ms. Foundation was created to deliver funding and other strategic resources to organizations that elevated women's and girl's voices and solutions across race and class in communities nationwide.The Ms. Foundation works to identify and support emerging and established groups poised to act when and where change is needed.



2016 Fellow Finalist

Resonance is a screenwriting talent incubator for what will be, in the coming years, the most valuable talent in the world — bilingual, bicultural writers and directors who can create content that succeeds in the two biggest media markets in the world: China and the U.S.


Resonance operates as an independent entity with guidance and creative oversight by an Advisory Council with partnership with CIRCLE OF CONFUSION, LIONSGATE, CHINA FILM GROUP.


2014 Screenplay Finalist 

A3 has partnered with the Sundance Institute to create an artist fellowship for Asian Americans. Recipients of the A3/Sundance Fellowship will be able to participate for the year in the highly coveted Sundance Directors Lab and Screenwriters Lab programs in order to develop hands-on skills and experience in their field.
